When do you replace your toe stops?

Pretty straightforward question. I use roll line toe stops for freestyle and they are worn down past the little circle cut outs. I don’t know if them being this worn down affects the functionality in any way (I don’t feel a difference in my jumps) and if I should change them now or wait until they are unusable.

Is it fine to use them until they hit metal? I don’t know how long that would take so I’m thinking maybe I should play it safe and just change them out in case they eventually hit metal while I’m practicing and damage the floor (and possibly my face when I fall, and my bank account when I have to pay for the floor repair). Thoughts?

  • You can use them a bit past the cut outs, but I'd lower them a bit more so your jump timing stays consistent. However I'd get new toe stops soon so you don't get to the metal.
